Economy:

• You can still select your Economy Light preferred seat for national and international travel for a fee.
• Children bound to travel with you will be assigned a seat next to you.

Saga:

• If you decide to fly with the Saga Premium or Saga Premium Flex, you are free from the IcelandAir seat selection fee, which is included in the ticket fare. 
• If you are traveling with minors or dependent passengers, the airline will automatically allot them a seat next to you. 

When can you choose a seat at IcelandAir? 

• The airline does not overbook, so despite other issues, you can be sure to get a seat on the flight. 
• You can only reserve your seat through the support team if your travel includes multiple stops or stopovers. 
• The airline can guarantee a booked seat during travel time if you have paid to block a seat. 

• Online check-in allows you to get your desired seat through the IcelandAir selection process. Online check-in becomes available 24 hours before the scheduled take-off. 
• When you select a seat via check-in, the airline will try its best to block your seat but, in the end, can't give any guarantee. 

How much does seat selection cost on IcelandAir?

• Front seats: Economy Light and Economy Standard both cost the same; $20 between Iceland and Europe & $35 between Iceland and North America. Economy Flex has the cost included in the fare. 
• Middle section: Economy Light costs $15 between Iceland and Europe & $26 between Iceland and North America
• Rear section: Economy Light costs $10 between Iceland and Europe & $20 between Iceland and North America.
