Compensation management is done as an apology to maintain the bond of the airlines with the passengers. Jetblue also provides compensation to the passengers in case of cancellation or delay in the flights, terms and conditions applied. There are some of the terms and conditions that Jetblue follows regarding the method or amount of compensation given to the passengers.
Jetblue Compensation Terms and Conditions:
Jetblue provides compensation to the passengers if Jetblue approves their request for compensation. Not all cancellations will be eligible for compensation. If the passengers face issues related to getting JetBlue compensation, they'll have to submit the compensation form with all the details.
- Suppose the tickets are booked through jetblue.com or 1-800-JetBlue, and JetBlue accepts the compensation request. In that case, if the passenger qualifies for the compensation, they'll receive an email automatically within seven days of their scheduled departure date.
- If the tickets are not booked through jetblue.com or 1-800-JetBlue, then it's possible that JetBlue doesn't have the passengers details; in that case, if the passenger request qualifies for the compensation, it requested to please call on 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) for inquiry within seven days or more from the scheduled departure date of the flight.
What if Jetblue Flight is Cancelled?
There are times when JetBlue cancels the flight due to some emergency; in that case, either the passenger gets the total refund or else JetBlue provides re-accommodation at no additional charge on the next available flights.
Suppose JetBlue cancels the flight with another available transportation option within one hour. In that case, passengers are eligible for the JetBlue compensation for canceled flights through credit which can be used for future travel. If the cancellation is made within four hours of the flight, $50 is credited as compensation. In contrast, if the cancellation is made after the scheduled departure, $100 is credited as the compensation amount.
Jetblue Flight Compensation for Delayed Flights:
Jetblue provides JetBlue compensation for delayed flights regardless of all types of delays. Some of them are listed below-
Departure delays-
The flight is delayed due to a situation JetBlue could control; compensation is initiated in credit for future travel.
- If the delay time is 3-3:59 hours, then the credit is $50.
- If the delay time is 4-4:59 hours, then the credit is $100.
- If the delay time is 5-5:59 hours, then the credit is $150.
- If the delay time is6 or more hours, credit is $200.
Onboard ground delay in departure-
If the passengers witness Onboard ground delay while departure, compensation is initiated in credit for future travel.
- If the delay time is 3-4:59 hours, then the credit is $100.
- If the delay time is 5-5:59 hours, then the credit is $175.
- If the delay time is 6 or more hours, the credit is $250.
Onboard ground delay on arrival –
if the passengers witness onboard ground delay, compensation is initiated in credit for future travel.
- If the delay time is 1-1:59 hours, the credit is $50.
- If the delay time is 2-2:59 hours, then the credit is $125.
- If the delay time is 3 or more hours, the credit is $200.
