I picked my seat and paid extra to be close to the front because of my Hip Surgery and they changed planes and put we back further.
After everyone was loaded the seat I had paid extra for was empty. On top of that it was so cold on the plane everyone was covering with jackets and sweaters to stay warm. The only time we saw any Assistants was before takeoff, the water and pretzel delivery and right before landing. So I am writing this because I sat on the phone for the last two hours trying to talk to someone to see if I could get a refund on my extra charge for seat location I didn’t get. Of course no one answered. Very Upset!
I recently flew to miami for my anniversary and american airlines canceled my seats in first class. When I got to dallas as a layover I found they had cancelled my first class seats on that flight as well. After the vacation I was booked on a 1:55 pm flight and American Airlines changed it to the 9:10 am flight. I found this change when I was checking it at 11:00 pm. I thought it was a mistake as I had 1st class seats for the 1:55 pm flight so I called them and they refused to help. I asked for a supervisor and got hung up on. I slept for 2.5 hours and had to get up to be at the airport on time for the 9:10 flight. I then got to LA for a layover and had to fly coach when I had 1st class seats for that leg of the journey also. I would not recommend american airlines to anyone. I have spoken to the customer service reps and they refuse to address the issue.
