How to Request a refund from Lufthansa?

If the passangers cancel their trip with Lufthansa, they can request a refund under "Flight details" in the "My bookings" Section, or if you cannot do that, you can fill out the refund form or call 516-296-9650 to know the refund status. Here are some necessary terms and conditions referred to the Lufthansa refund policy, under which, if you wish to get a refund for your ticket. Then you will have to cancel your itinerary from the official website of Lufthansa. 
  • A full refund is possible only if your flight was canceled without a replacement. 
  • Further, if a passenger cancels a ticket within 24 hours of purchase, then you will get full refunds as per Lufthansa's refund policy. 
  • Or, if you cancel a ticket beyond 24 hours of purchase time, you will have to pay cancellation charges. 
  • Finally, if the actual departure time is changed on the current day by more than 5 hours due to some disruptions, you will also get full refunds.

  • Visit the official website of Lufthansa airline
  • After navigating to manage my booking section 
  • There enter your ticket reference number and the last name of the passenger.
  • Now, select your ticket and click on the refund application 
  • First, fill the form with the contact details of the traveler
  • Next, select the ticket trip type and reason for the refund and describe it in 1000 characters
  • At last, you will have to submit the form and get a confirmation email with a complete summary.
