  • Alaska Airlines also provides the same-day confirmed flight change if you are a member of the Gold mileage plan. But that change is also subject to the availability that you can make changes if there is space available on your desired flight.
You can use this benefit if you haven't purchased the saver fare.

How to fly standby on Alaska airlines?

During check-in:- when you are going for the check-in on Alaska Airlines via online or mobile application or airport counter or kiosk, you can select the change flight option for requesting standby. But this request is to be submitted before the departure of the flight.

Arrive early to the gate:- the seat availability on the same day standby flight is disclosed as thirty minutes before the flight departure. So, when customer service calls, your name might be in the boarding areas. 

What if I am not on the list of standby with Alaska airlines?

You can also change your flight when you are not eligible for standby with Alaska Airlines. But you might have to pay $50 when the space is available on the desired flight. When you have any doubt regarding that, then via communicating with the customer service you can sorry that out.
