Do I need a negative Covid Test to fly on Singapore airlines?

Yes, if you are two years or older, you must need to submit a negative Covid-19 viral test to fly on Singapore airlines. For travelers who are traveling to Singapore, which includes Singapore citizens and permanent residents, should take either a pre-departure Covid PCR test or Antigen rapid test. The test needs to be done within two days before the scheduled departure date of the flight. 

If you have recovered from the Covid 90 days before, make sure you travel with a paper or digital documentation of recovery from Covid-19. The recovery documentation includes positive viral test results, with the test taken between 15 days and not more than 90 days before scheduled departure. You should also carry a letter with a sign from the public health official stating that you have now recovered and are cleared for travel.

Singapore airlines Covid19 requirement and other rules

As per the new guidelines and Covid travel rules on Singapore airlines, all travelers, irrespective of their nationality, should submit an electronic health declaration within three days before arriving in Singapore. Approval letters for entry, where applicable, must be provided on check-in during departure and at immigration upon arrival.

The travelers entering or transiting in Singapore should take either the Covid-19 PCR test or the Antigen rapid test pre-departure test.

The reciprocal green lane travelers must take a PCR test within 72 hours of departure. For all other travelers, The requirement for PDT will be based on the travel history of others in the 14 days before arriving in Singapore.

The PCR test should be done at Internationally accredited or recognized lab/clinic/medical facilities, whereas the Antigen test should be administered professionally.

For passengers who take a direct flight to Singapore, PDT should be conducted within two days of the departure date. The requirement of the Covid-19 test is not applied to children aged two years or below.

The Covid test results should be in English and must contain all the information, like the name of the testing institution, type of test, A negative test result, test date, etc.

All the passengers arriving at Singapore airline should take a Covid-19 PCR test except travelers who are transiting in Singapore airlines and are under two years.
