  • You need to provide the reservation code and the passenger's surname.

  • From that, you can choose the relevant booking you want to cancel.

  • Ethiopian airlines will send you the confirmation message regarding the cancellation at your registered email id.

Ethiopian Airlines will not charge fees for flight cancellation after 24 hours of the purchase. Therefore the Ethiopian Airlines cancellation penalty will vary between $25 to $200 according to the reservation type and flight departure. The fees will be deducted from the exact amount at the time of flight cancellation.

  • According to the rules and regulations, you must add complete information to the refund request form.
  • Once you apply for the refund within 24 hours of the purchase, you will receive the complete refund. 
  • You must pay the additional no-show fee if you request a refund on or after the flight departure. 
  • For the refund request due to covid 19, you will receive the refund within three to four weeks.
  • If you have purchased the Ethiopian flight ticket with the travel agencies, you need to contact them to get back the eligible money. 
  • For the flight ticket, purchase with cash or bank deposit, you must reach the nearby Ethiopian ticket office. 
  • You can apply for a flight refund online if you have bought the ticket at the Ethiopian airline's website or mobile app. 
  • If Ethiopian airlines change the schedule or cancels the flight, you will get extra services. Fill out the refund request form and claim the refund with additional services such as seat selection, seat upgrade, excess baggage, lounge access, WIFI facility, priority boarding, etc. 
  • Ethiopia airlines allow you to use your ticket anytime until one year of the ticket issuance date. 
  • Once you submit the online refund form, your application will not be reversed.
